yesterday colby spotted a bird in a nest in the tree by our front door.  i was just trying to get a picture of the bird because she was so pretty.  as soon as i pushed the button, she flew away.  the nest was about a couple of feet above my head, so colby got a step-ladder.  he climbed up first, but he was too short.  i tried. too short to see with my eyes, but i could reach my arm up and over.  so that's what i did.  i stuck my camera up there and clicked.

baby birds to be

today was a weird day at school.  have you ever had one of those days that seemed to fly by and you don't really know what you accomplished?  i know we didn't goof off in class, but every time i looked at the clock i thought, "man!  it's already that time?"  i guess that's a good thing, especially since it was a monday!

i played bunco tonight.  i was not expecting to win anything tonight.  i just wasn't feeling it.  when the game was over i ended up having the most wins because the person who actually one more games than i did had already won a prize for having the most buncos!  woo hoo!  thanks to alison for paying attention to my score sheet for me!  i totally would have let that prize go because i didn't realize that kristen (most buncos) was the one who had 13 wins.

and the prizes were super-cute tonight.  our hostess went with a travel theme...very clever!  i won a polka-dotted travel bag!  woo hoo!  i already liked it because it had polka-dots, but it's also useful.  great prize!
