renewed interests

i've noticed that my interests go in phases.  am i the only one?

i'm back on a reading kick.  it's been about a year since i wanted to read, but now i'm choosing books over tv!  can you believe it?  i just finished a really good romance novel by dorothy garlock called mother road.  now i'm reading the hunger games.  spencer suggested it because he's read the whole series.  it's not one that i would have chosen, but it's eerily good.

creepy good book

i'm also actually enjoying walking!  gasp!  and get this....i even signed up to walk a 5K!  never in my life would i have expected to do that voluntarily!  but since i've been losing weight, i've found a new energy and desire to experience new things.

so almost every night after supper i've gone walking.  usually one or both of the varmints join me.  sometimes i even have a weak moment and bring smudge along.

as we were walking colby kept stopping to pick flowers. we were almost home when he shouted.  i thought something was wrong but he was just super excited because there was a ladybug on his flowers!  i wish this picture was better.  it was almost dark, so the picture is blurry and it doesn't do justice to the beautiful colors.

this next picture turned out so cool!!!  i was just trying to take a picture of the street signs, but right as i did, the street light came on and the moon is also right behind the pole!  i just love the way it turned out, so that's why it is my....
